Primark Nail Polishes

So I went to Primark with my Mum, and I told myself I wasn't going to pick up anything but I ended up purchasing these four nail polishes.

I really wanted to try them because I'm more of a nude kinda girl so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try some new shades.

These polishes apply amazingly well, dry quickly and didn't chip until a week after application.

The lilac is my favourite. I like the contrast against my skin tone, and I don't have any lilac nail polishes.

Primark has now relaunched its makeup range called P.S.Love. It's very affordable and apparently quite good, but I'm yet to try anything else.

Would love to know if you have tried anything from the Primark makeup range?

Spring Clean!!

Its that time of year where most people decide to have a huge spring clean.

For me this includes clothes, shoes and makeup.

I find spring cleaning really therapeutic, I love being able to have a good clear out.

Clothing
With clothing and accessories sometimes it's just a case of passing on things to family members and friends or giving things to a charitable organisation. I often donate to a family friend who owns a orphanage in Ghana. Local councils and some supermarkets have clothes banks where you can donate old clothes and shoes which are either given to charity or recycled.

Makeup
Getting rid of old makeup is essential. There are millions of bacteria that build up on old makeup products which you would then be smearing all over your face (gross right).

A guide on how long to keep makeup is on each product.

Check the base of products for this symbol.

The small jar symbol indicates that this product can be used for 12 months after it has been opened.

I usually look through my makeup collection and think about how long I have had it, if there is a change in texture, colour and smell or it looks manky, I throw it away. What I'm keeping I wipe with antibacterial wipes to minimize germs.

Top tips:
1. If you don't use it and don't think you ever will let it go.

2. Having a clear out can be quite overwhelming  so group items and complete one group per day, e.g. shoes, dresses.

3. Treat yourself. Yep that's right, now I'm not saying to fill back up the space you just cleared out. But you should definetely treat yourself to something you have been lusting after as a reward.

So come on ladies let's get Spring Cleaning!!

Spring has Sprung!!

This weekend has been nothing but glorious sunshine in London.
So for me that means I shop my stash to find spring clothes.

I attended church on Saturday and this is what I wore:

It was such a beautiful day. I decided to wear something girly and floaty, this beige pleated skirt which has been sitting in my wardrobe for about two years, unworn with the tags still on.
The inner top is 100% silk, and was also unworn for a number of years in my wardrobe.
The jacket was added to give a trendier and edgier feel to the look. I love this jacket. It was purchased around November 2013, when the weather was way too cold for it to be worn. The jacket had so much detail, black panels on the underside of the sleeves and pockets and zip details on the cuff. This jacket  fits like a glove, but what firstly attracted me to it was the colour, the green is fresh, vibrant and makes a statement. Plus I had nothing in my wardrobe in this colour.

I'm quite enjoying this Shop my Stash journey. In this outfit I put together three never before worn pieces and I have thought of loads of new ideas on how to style them.

Style breakdown:
Jacket: Topshop
Top: Matalan
Skirt: Bardo
Shoes:New Look
Bag: Random Shop (Fontill road)

Do you have any clothing that's been sitting in your wardrobe for years?

My Current Skincare Routine

I am absolutely hopeless at taking care of my skin. I have moments when I am completely consistent and then I get lazy and don't even take off my makeup ( bad I know). Recently though I have been quite good and I'm doing much better at following a routine.

My routine is different dependent on if I wear makeup or not.

Problem areas: I have oily skin and dark spots on my cheeks so I mostly try to work on those.

These are the products I use:

Routine:
If I am wearing make up then I remove with Simple Kind to Skin Facial Wipes and add a few drops of L'Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Miscellar Solution to a cotton pad. Then I apply B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser and rinse with water. I then dry my face in a patting motion with a paper towel. (I use a paper towel and not a towel because towels pick up a lot of dust and germs as they are used daily.) I then apply Pure Cocoa Butter to my face to fade the dark spots on my cheeks, then I apply Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream and then I'm off to bed.

In the morning if I am going to wear makeup then I apply Lush's Tea Tree Water and L'Oreal Triple Active Anti Shine Moisturiserthis moisturiser is amazing for anyone with oily skin, it is super mattifying but yet not drying.
I would then apply makeup and be out the door.

If I am not wearing any makeup then I would just apply Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream and that's it.

On a weekly basis when I have a pamper night I use Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque and Queen Helene Mint Julep Natural Facial ScrubI love the smell of these products they are very minty and feel so luxurious, they leave my skin feeling clean, soft and refreshed.

Index finger:B. Refined Exfoliating Cleanser
Middle finger:Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
Ring finger:Queen Helene Mint Julep Natural Facial Scrub

So that's my routine at the moment. I do change up the products sometimes but the routine always stays the same.

I'm gonna keep working on my skin and hopefully in a few months I will be able to show you some before and after photos.

               Hope you enjoyed.

Spring Where Art Thou?

Where is spring? Does anybody know? I'm so over layering, boots, coats umbrellas and all things wintery. I want to wear strappy heels, shorts, skorts and dresses. I have so many things I'm itching to wear but the weather just isn't on my side.
But until that time comes I guess those of us in the UK will just have to patiently wait.

Had a brief stroll in the park today so decided to take a few pics of my outfit.

Style Breakdown:
Coat: Ebay
Bag: Primark
Jumper: Primark
Leather Trousers: Dorothy Perkins
Wedge Trainers: Primark

I kept my makeup nude and natural.

Makeup Breakdown:

Contour: Sleek contour kit( medium)

How is the weather where you are?
Is there anything in particular you are looking forward to wearing?
